2 glasses of Yogurt parfait

Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, why not make a special breakfast, snack or dessert for someone you love? This yogurt parfait with strawberry chocolate granola is easy to put together and lower in calories, but still feels indulgent!

Layers of yogurt, fruit, honey and a strawberry granola with delicious chocolate clusters. Chocolate and strawberry are the quintessential flavors of Valentine’s Day! Who doesn’t love chocolate covered strawberries??

What is a yogurt parfait?

An easy breakfast, afternoon snack or light dessert made by layering yogurt, fruit and granola. Often served in tall glasses so that the beautiful layers are visible.

Ingredients for Yogurt Parfait with Strawberry Chocolate Granola:

Yogurt

Any type or brand works for a yogurt parfait. I prefer to use non-fat Greek yogurt. It has lots of protein and I can control the sugar by sweetening it myself. Feel free to use plain whole milk or non-fat yogurt, vanilla yogurt or even dairy free yogurt.

*Please note that using other yogurts will adjust the nutrition calculation at the bottom of this recipe*

Fruit

Fruits such as blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, cherries work beautifully in this parfait. I often keep these seasonal fruits in my freezer so that I can enjoy them year round.

Honey

Just a little drizzle of honey on top of the fruit and yogurt sweetens up the parfait. If you are using a vanilla or sweetened yogurt, feel free to omit the honey.

Granola

My Strawberry Chocolate Granola makes the perfect topping! Lightly sweetened, with melty chocolate clusters and freeze dried strawberries. Another option is this Easy Homemade Granola.

Of course you could use store bought granola, but I highly recommend making it yourself. It is comes together quickly and is easily customizable!
