Black Cherry Prosecco Cocktail

Black Cherry Prosecco Cocktail in glass

Jazz up your happy hour or brunch with this Black Cherry Prosecco Cocktail! A fruity, slightly sweet and refreshing drink that is perfect for everyday entertaining.

It may seem strange that I’m sharing a summer fruit drink in the middle of winter, but check out my kitchen tip below! You can enjoy this drink year round!

This drink looks and feels fancy, but could not be any easier to put together. Juice, brandy and prosecco. That’s it!

Kitchen Tip: When cherries are out of season, head to the freezer section of your grocery store and grab a bag of frozen cherries! Bonus is that they are already pitted.

Black Cherry Prosecco Cocktail Ingredients

Only a few simple ingredients are all that’s needed to make this! Did I mention that this is a super easy drink to make?

Black Cherry Juice

For this drink, I use this brand of black cherry juice. It is simply made from whole black cherries and has no added sugar.

Brandy

Brandy adds a little extra subtle sweetness. Use whatever your favorite brand of brandy is. I use Christian Brothers Brandy at home.

Prosecco

A sparkling wine that brings the fun bubbles to the cocktail! Prosecco is also a little bit sweeter than champagne and helps balance out the tartness of the cherry juice. Any brand will work as I have used Cupcake and Andre Spumante. Whatever fits in your budget!

How to make this Cherry Prosecco Cocktail

It could not be any easier! Simply fill a glass with ice, mix in the cherry juice and brandy, then top off with prosecco. No shaker required. Once you have your drink made, garnish with cherries and a sprig of mint, if desired.

I loved the look of the glasses I used in the pictures, but you could also use champagne flutes or wine glasses for this.

If you are making this for a crowd, mix the brandy and cherry juice together in a carafe and divide among the glasses when ready to serve. Top each glass off with prosecco.

You can float the cherries in the drink or string them on a toothpick like I have here in the pictures.
