Two glasses of Blackberry Pomegranate Gin and Tonic. Garnished with Fresh rosemary. One rosemary sprig has smoke coming up from it.

I’m not a particularly spooky person, but I do love making things festive! This Blackberry Pomegranate Gin and Tonic (or a Black Widow) is a twist on a classic G&T with the addition of blackberries and pomegranate juice.

A traditional Gin and Tonic contains just 3 basic ingredients:

  1. Gin
  2. Lime Juice
  3. Tonic Water

For this festive and fruity version, I simply muddled a few blackberries in the bottom of a glass and added some pomegranate juice with the gin. Garnished with a rosemary sprig or you could opt to use more blackberries as a garnish.

A Gin and Tonic is a fast and easy cocktail to make and is made right in the glass. No shaker needed!

How to Make a Blackberry Pomegranate Gin and Tonic

Gin and Tonics are a very easy cocktail to make. Everything is combined in the glass, so there is no need for extra equipment such as a shaker. Combine your ingredients, gently stir and you’re done!

  • In a highball glass, muddle the blackberries with the lime juice.
  • Fill glass with crushed ice
  • Add gin and pomegranate juice
  • Top with tonic water and stir gently to combine
  • Garnish with a spring of rosemary if desired

Tips and Substitutions

  • If fresh blackberries are unavailable, head to the freezer section! Thaw them out before muddling.
  • No muddler? Simply use a wooden spoon to muddle the blackberries.
  • Bottled lime juice can be used in a pinch, but fresh is the best way to go.
