Cinnamon Pear Baked Brie

Cinnamon Pear Baked Brie

Brie is such a beautiful cheese appetizer to serve. It has a wow factor all on its own, but add fruits, nuts or jelly and it transforms into a delicious powerhouse of flavor!

Cinnamon Pear Baked Brie adds a fall flare to this dish. Warm notes of cinnamon mixed with pear and orange zest really brighten up the Brie.

We often have a charcuterie board out as a snack while the turkey is cooking for Thanksgiving or while Christmas presents are being opened later in the day. So while you are perfecting your holiday meal dishes, add this baked brie to your appetizer tray and impress your family and friends!

This little 6.5″ cast iron pan is the perfect size for a small brie wheel and it looks great serving it! It can easily be the centerpiece on a charcuterie board surrounded by crackers, breads and fruits for dipping into the brie.

So now that you know you need to make this… let’s get to it!

Ingredients for Baked Brie:

  • 1 – 8 ounce Brie wheel
  • 2 Pears – peeled and diced (I use Anjou pears)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/8 teaspoon Orange Zest
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
  • Crushed Walnuts (optional for garnish)

To make cinnamon pear baked brie:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. While your oven is preheating, peel and dice your pears and place them in a small saucepan. Add the cinnamon, orange zest, honey and brown sugar. Over medium-high heat, bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce heat to Medium-low. Let the pears simmer for 5-10 minutes, until reduced down. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Place the Brie wheel in a small (6.5″) cast iron pan or a small baking dish. When you are ready to bake, place the pear chutney on top of the Brie and spread over evenly. Bake for 5-10 minutes until warmed through.
  4. Remove from oven, garnish with more orange zest and crushed walnuts if desired. Serve immediately with crackers, apple slices or toasted French bread.
