Easy Spicy Chili Garlic Edamame

I don’t remember how long its been since I first tried edamame, but I can tell you from that moment, I was hooked! I made this recipe for my husband and I one night and we D E V O U R E D it.

Spicy and little bit salty – the perfect seasoning for edamame in my opinion. And it could not be easier to make! It takes just 5 simple ingredients and less than 15 minutes.

These chili garlic edamame would be great as an appetizer, quick snack or even a side dish! Maybe you’re having sushi night at home, you could serve these edamame and some of my Air Fryer Wontons for an amazing dinner!

Ingredients for Spicy Chili Garlic Edamame

  • Frozen Edamame – found in the frozen vegetable aisle
  • Soy Sauce – I use reduced sodium but regular will work. Use Tamari if you need this to be gluten free.
  • Chili Garlic Sauce – I use this one
  • Sesame Oil – regular or toasted
  • Sesame Seeds – optional, for garnish

Directions to make Spicy Chili Edamame

  1. Boil or steam the edamame according to package directions. Set aside (drain if you boiled them).
  2. Heat a medium sized skillet over medium heat.
  3. In a small bowl combine the soy sauce, chili garlic sauce and sesame oil.
  4. Add the sauce to the skillet and heat until it starts to bubble.
  5. Add the edamame and saute until they begin to brown slightly.
  6. Remove from heat, place in a serving dish and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  7. Serve immediately.

Tips and substitutions

  • For gluten free, use Tamari instead of soy sauce.
  • Serve with an extra bowl for the shells.

Edamame sauteed in a spicy chili garlic sauce. The perfect appetizer for any dinner party.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounce package frozen Edamame
  • 1 Tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1/2 Tablespoon chili garlic sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions
